Hi! My name is Arialees, I'm the creator, owner and sole operator for CraftyArialees.

I started this small business as an unemployed full-time student back in 2020 during the pandemic. It all began when I saw Cricut machines all over the internet- my then boyfriend, now husband, bought me a Cricut machine for my birthday. Less than a month later I opened up an Etsy shop. I struggled a bit at first but quickly learned my ways around the machine and Etsy. That fall semester I graduated college at SUNY Oswego with two degrees, one of them being for Graphic Design. My knowledge in graphic design immensely helped me understand how to use a Cricut as well as helped me with designing my merchandise! Slowly but surely my small business grew and before I knew it, I had hit 1k sales! I began going to craft fairs in and around my town and thought they were so fun but I always came back to Etsy. I had my Etsy shop for 3 years before I started experiencing some problems, just shy of 2k sales. I knew I had to find another platform to sell my items so I started looking around and decided I just needed my own website. 

Currently, I'm a part-time high school substitute and a full-time small business owner! During the warmer months I spend a lot of time doing outdoor craft fairs and markets to expand my brand. It's so fun getting to meet my customers and chatting. I hope to continue working and expanding my business so one day I can be a full-time business owner. I look forward to making this my full-time job for the rest of my life!
